Longlands Care Home

Longlands Care Home is a purpose built two storey Home situated in Middlesbrough on the A172 and is within walking distance of a regular bus route (see details below). A�It is ideally located near the town centre, the surrounding community and local shops.

The Home has 43 single bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, offering a high standard of care with all care staff NVQ/QCF qualified or working towards this award in Health and Social Care. The Home has 2 dining areas and 3 lounges including a conservatory that overlooks the gardens. A�All areas are tastefully furnished as well as being equipped to care for individual needs.

The home also provides respite care and day care and has pleasant gardens to the rear and side. There is an ample private car park at the entrance to the Home.

Accommodation & Facilities

The accommodation is divided over 2 floors with a passenger lift available to access the first floor. There are communal lounges and dining areas situated on both the ground and first floor. A�All our rooms have telephone points and en-suite bathrooms.

There is a large conservatory overlooking well maintained, established gardens.

The home offers a personal laundry service for all residents operated by our own fully trained staff. We also have has a visiting Hairdresser who attends on a weekly basis. An Optician, Dentist and Chiropodist are also regular visitors to the home (though charges may apply).

Our Team

Julie Wood a�� Manager

Julie began her career at our neighbouring Roseleigh Care Home as a Junior Carer in 2000. She has held 2 Deputy Manager positions within the Company, initially at Longlands in 2002 and then Roseleigh in 2005. She was appointed Manager of Longlands in 2011. As well as managing the home she has worked to achieve her level 4 Management award and level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Deputy Manager

Tina has worked in the care industry for over 10 years. She began her career at Longlands in 2009 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2012. Tina is currently working towards her level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

Care

The care team is made up of Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants. We recognise that our team of Carers are the most important people to residents and they are dedicated and work tirelessly to provide the highest quality of care for our residents.

Administrator

The Administrator provides support to the manager and other employees to ensure the smooth running of the home. A�She is your first port of call for any financial queries and you can always be sure to find a friendly face in Reception.

Activities Co-ordinator

We currently employ 2 Activities Co-ordinators who provide a wide range of activities designed to encourage group involvement but also to meet individual resident needs.

Catering

We have an excellent trained catering team offering extensive menus of freshly home-cooked meals and we also offer varied menus and cater for all our residenta��s individual needs.

Housekeeping & Laundry

The housekeeping and Laundry team are committed to providing a high standard of service, taking great care to ensure a comfortable and clean environment for residents.

Maintenance

We have an on-site handyman who maintains the day to day upkeep and decoration of the home, maintaining regular safety checks and to help with furniture arranging and putting up pictures etc. The gardens are maintained regularly by an excellent gardening team.
